Nursery Xmas party

On Saturday, Leo’s nursery had it’s annual Xmas party. It was like a fate but with a Xmas theme.

The staff had set up different stalls in each classroom where for a nominal fee one could take part in fun activities. There was also a cake sale and the kitchen lunch goodies for sale.

We arrived at the nursery and Leo was instantly confused. Why were we bringing him to school on a Saturday. And what was all this activity going on around the school??? Needless to say, when we got to the first activity, he burst into tears. Great!!! After a while he realised that we were staying with him, so he finally agreed to take part in some activities. First he and Evie fished for some ducks and won for themselves some crayons and colouring in books.

Next Leo had his face painted, this didn’t go too well, he didn’t like it when the lady wanted to add stripes to his tiger orange face. So after throwing a strop, we let him down half painted.
Tina and Will joined us, so we headed for a cup of tea at the food section. Bronson and Leo Pulled a cracker which was actually a table decoration…..


Then we went outside to Santa’s Grotto. Leo went in with Daddy, but he refused to sit on Santa’s lap. Dad was a much safer option thank you very much!!!

Then we headed upstairs where Leo decorated a fairy cake for mummy. He was more interested in eating the decorations though.
Then he paid his money to pick a lolly out the luck dip. He was very happy as he got a lollie and he won a bottle of bubbles.

It was a fun day, even though it was blighted by Leo-I’m-a-stroppy-2-year-old. Actually that was a theme for the whole weekend. They weren’t joking when they called them the terrible 2’s. As a left brain logical person, I can’t understand how a kid can want something and not want something at the same time. And then you can’t reason with them for toffee…..oh give me my baby back and take this little monster off my hands!!!!
