And then there were 4...teeth that is!!

So, what is Leo up to you may ask…well, for a start. His two front teeth have made an appearance. They have been worrying him for a while now, and this week they finally popped through. They are not clearly visible, but if you can get him to open his mouth and look up then you can get a peek. Now this may sound like impossibility, but if you knew that Leo has a huge fascination with ceiling fans or switched –on lights, then it’s really simple. Just pick him up and stand directly under the fan/light. He can’t help but look up and usually his mouth falls open in sheer wonder. Then we get the perfect opportunity to see the new nashers!!! Clever mummy!!!

On the encouragement of our Health Visitor (Mercy…she deservers an entire post of her own…maybe one day) and dentist friend, we have started brushing Leo’s teeth. And what do you know, he actually likes it. And if you ask him to, he will bare his teeth for his toothbrush. Afterwards you have to give him the toothbrush so that he can have a go at brushing his own teeth and cover you and himself in toothpaste while having a go. This is when I discovered the true meaning of less-is-more!!!

I’m sure this fondness of teeth brushing will go after the next baby boardroom when his mates tell him that in fact teeth brushing is a desirable action (for mom and dad that is) and therefore should NOT be done willingly but rather with a huge fuss. But for now, I’m brushing twice a day to make up for future failed attempts.
